It's too cold now for Belle's favourite dresses, but she can still wear skirts she's found, as long as she wears something called tights on her bare legs. And so, she's dressed mostly warm for only going to the bakery to get something sweet for breakfast. She realizes she shouldn't, but the pastries with raspberry and cream cheese sound too good this morning.
As she walks, she has a book in front of her face; there are so many advantages to working in the bookshop. She has so many novels to read now, and she's currently engrossed in one about a land with dragons and kings that reminds her, somewhat, of Avalon. She's so absorbed in the book, that she doesn't realize she's about to collide with another person, turning the page quickly as the plot thickens.
